Foundations of Songwriting Workshop

Tuesday August 18th at 6:00pm at the Eastend Activity Centre

Join award-winning musician & songwriter, Kate Blechinger for a relaxed session exploring the basics of songwriting!

In this workshop, Kate will guide attendees through the basics of lyric and songwriting, including form, dynamics, and how to communicate stories and emotions through song. There will be an opportunity for sharing, experiential participation, and follow-up communication. All levels welcome and the workshop is free to attend.

Kate is the recipient of the 2026 Big Flat Folk Fest Songwriting Grant.
