White Valley Irrigation is looking for a seasonal, full-time Ditch Rider/Maintenance worker for the Eastend Irrigation Project. Starting April 15, 2026, the successful candidate will manage water delivery for approximately 25 patrons across more than 100 lots. While the core irrigation duties are seasonal, this is a full-time, year-round position.

Key Details:

Start Date: April 15, 2026.

Application Deadline: January 31, 2026.

Compensation: Starting at $30/hr (varies with experience).

Requirement: You must provide your own 4WD work truck (mileage allowance is provided).

Primary Responsibilities:

Water Management: Coordinate with ~25 patrons to determine water needs; operate gates and checks to regulate flow.

Monitoring: Patrol the canal system (by vehicle, ATV, or foot) to check for leaks, breaks, or obstructions. This may include night patrols.

Infrastructure Maintenance: Clean and maintain ditches, repair concrete/wood structures, fix fences, and control rodents.

Equipment Operation: Use tractors and backhoes for mowing and repairing canals/drains.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records of water deliveries for billing, system conditions, and required repairs.
